The viral marketing at comic-con went really well and had an awesome response! Over 200 poker chips that had the TML logo on the front and the website and "San Diego Comic-Con '08" on the back and 200 bottles were given out. Below is the rundown of the viral stunt.

st - Themandalorianlegacy.com got "hacked" by the rebels and took people to jointherebelalliance.com. Here it talked about "Operation Mandalorian Legacy," where it stated that "The Rebel Alliance needs your help! The Empire has tracked us down and gotten a hold of our identities. We need you new recruits to find a bounty hunter we hired named Boba Fett at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 26, 2008. It is imperative that you aid us in retrieving the package from him! Some Rebel spies will be near the Lucasfilm booth on aisle 2900 in the San Diego Convention Center disguised in The Mandalorian Legacy t-shirts. Meet them between 2:30 – 4:30 pm on Saturday, July 26, 2008 for further instructions."

nd - When people showed up to the location described on the website, they met with 2 "rebel agents" who told them that the Empire was on to them and they had a run-in with some Stormtroopers. The rebels had to scatter right before they could get what they needed from Boba Fett and did not know where he had gone after that. However, they said that one of the other rebels that was with them had gotten captured by the troopers and she knew where Boba had fled to. They were told that she was near the escalators in the Hall D lobby and that they would need to somehow distract the stormtroopers long enough for her to tell them where Boba had gone to. They were also given a credit chip to prove that they were the new rebel recruits when they met up with Boba (this was the collectible poker chip with the TML logo, site and "San Diego Comic-Con '08" on it).

rd - People then went to the Hall D lobby and found the rebel that was being held captive by 3 stormtroopers. The people went and were told by the stormtroopers that "This is Imperial business and doesn't concern you, so move along." A diversion was then put into play and the stormtroopers were briefly distracted. The rebel told the people really quickly that Boba had fled to the upper level of the convention center and that he was near Ballroom 29b. She then pulled out a "hologram" and showed them a picture of what he looked like. The stormtroopers finished with the diversion and told the people to move along.

th - Here, the people found and met with Boba Fett, where he gave them what they were after, the Imperial Security Code. On this paper, it gave the Imperial Security Code, which it said to enter at www.jointherebelalliance.com/entercode.htm. He told them that he was done here and had no further interest in being part of a political conflict. He then told them that (as if he almost forgot) that there were two rebels over by the door on the opposite side of the hallway who needed to speak with the new recruits.

th - This was the last station at comic-con. The people came here and the rebels thanked them for their help and gave them the TML water bottles. They also told them that they needed the code uploaded so that Rebel Intelligence could use it to help with the raid they were planning on an Imperial Base.

th - People entered the code at the given website and then unlocked an exclusive teaser poster for the film.
